Sep 5, 2017Sunday (Sept. 3, 2017) at Heritage Health Therapy and Senior Living in Hoopeston.She was born Aug. 17, 1937, in Wellington, the daughter of Russell and Thelma (Highfill) Hollen. She married James Roy Borders on Aug. 22, 1953, in Danville. He preceded her in death.She is survived by one daughter, Cathy I. (Roger) Uden of Hoopeston; three sons, James Russell (Marty) Borders of Mahomet, David W. (Rhonda) Borders of Hoopeston and Gilbert W. (Gwen) Borders of Potomac; a nephew they raised as a son, Jim (Martha) Murdock of Arcadia, Fla.; two brothers, Robert D. Hollen of Hutto, Texas, and Roger G. Hollen of Hoopeston; 11 grandchildren, Gabriel Borders, Michael Borders, Todd Pence, Chad Pence, Scott Borders, Susan (Borders) Denison, Cory Borders, Trisha (Uden) Curry, Tracy (Uden) Bowers, Casey (Borders) Coon and Lisa Borders; 26 great-grandchildren; 2 great-great-grandchildren and several nieces and nephews.She was preceded in death by her parents.Janice worked at TRW, Stokley's and Howard Industries. She later worked at FMC for many years until her retirement. She was a member of the Chestnut Street Church of Christ in Hoopeston. Janice enjoyed reading, camping and doing word search puzzles. Her greatest enjoyment was spending time with her family.Visitation will be from 5 to 8 p.m. Thursday, Sept. 7, at Anderson Funeral Home, 427 E. Main St., Hoopeston. The funeral service will be at 10 a.m. Friday at the funeral home, with Pastor John Morris officiating. Burial will follow in Floral Hill Cemetery in Hoopeston.Memorials may be made to the Chestnut Street Church of Christ, 709 E.
